Convergence Book 1: Think Big (submitting to agents)
www.convergenceepic.com
This epic Science Fiction trilogy has no Earth, nor humans. 125 years ago, the far-sighted founders of the Alliance contacted the Darskovian Empire to solicit an agreement. They would teach the militaristic society how to harmonize with their planet. Then, their pupils may join the Alliance mission: peacefully exploring the galaxy.
The Darskovian Emperor was warming up to the idea, but a violent coup by one of his generals refuted it. The new Emperor and his administration began hostilities against the Alliance. Now, with interstellar travel and mounting environmental crises, the Empire battles for territory with their old adversaries. |
New Field General Huascar has finally achieved the rank that could allow him to unveil his audacious plan. From his remote base, he would bend his orders, to broker a peace with the Empire's mysterious enemies, in order to find a new world for his people.
But, the Alliance's newest members despise him. Then, a botched scientific excursion ignites a war, and his mind is crashed by a pair of Neethrupi telepaths with a treacherous deal. Most alarmingly of all, he falls in love. Written from many points of view, and with doses of mysticism, art and music, Convergence is a visceral, compassionate exploration of war, social oppression and our relationship with nature. Compare with Dune and Star Wars, mixed with Virginia Woolf. |

Jezebel's Escape (in N3F's Eldritch Science)
A cacophony of destruction – exploding buildings, screeching vehicles and roaring jets – filled the house, while Jezebel tapped the ball with her paws down the hallway, until it bumped down the steps.
She ceased her half-hearted trot and peered over the top stair, toward the painful din and the lights strobing on the foyer wall. “Mom!”
Without lowering the TV’s volume, a woman sharply replied, “Huh? Jez?”
She cut the volume a little and yelled, “What?”
Her mother’s harshness stung her eyes. Not in a million years, would she toss the ball back.
“Nothing.” Abandoning the ball, Jezebel padded to her bedroom. Pausing at the door, always ajar, she eyed the purple and pink tones within and wondered when her mother would turn the night-mare off. It had been on since late morning, now it was past dinner time. Why didn’t her mother notice how Jezebel would disappear when she played her catastrophe films?
Avoiding her abrasive parent made it hard for Jezebel to tell how far she was in her drinking. Maybe driving her away was Mom’s plan.
She blotted the tears from her bare, human face with her forelegs’ grey fur.

The Monster Sleuths
This adult Fantasy is based on a vivid dream. Vlad Dracula, the immortal vampire is also Vlad Țepeș, the historical Impaler, who still resides in modern Romania. For hundreds of years, he strove to redeem himself from his evil deeds as the infamous Prince of Wallachia in the 1400s, but is stymied by his limited social role. He is an icon who is equally feared and revered. At his castle also resides his friend, Theodore, who is Frankenstein's monster, whom the public has largely forgotten about. They have a new guest at the castle, Sonia, a Mexican American werewolf. She's a rebellious wanderer who fled family difficulties in New Mexico, in search of guidance.
When Dracula's ex, Ludmila, a goth rock producer, kidnaps his favorite piano student, to get him to do her a favor, the estranged pair's confrontation is interrupted by gunfire. A fundamentalist crime syndicate, called Radu's Monks want to eradicate all the monsters in Romania, starting with Dracula, the Father of all Vampires. Headed by a cunning, mysterious leader, the ruthless organization has taken their own captive. I'm constructing the battle scene in my final chapter. As a result of my research on Vlad the Impaler and Medieval Romania, I've fallen in love with the country and began learning the language. We just returned from a fabulous two weeks in Romania. The trip has me brimming with imagery, visceral details and cultural flavors to add authenticity to my book. Stay tuned! |
Convergence Book 2: Remember Who You Are |
Also simmering on my burner, is the next volume of my epic. It picks up with Huascar in a low place, after the events in book one. Grief and disillusionment cause him to fall back on his habit of withdrawal. Meanwhile, disastrous political changes accelerate the multi-pronged crisis on Darskov.
Yet, an exiled Neethrupi holds the key to unlock Huascar's dream of establishing a sustainable colony, as long as her presence isn't discovered too early, and the planet's native people don't revolt. Keep checking this page for more developments! |
